Birthday Bash

We had quite a turnout for Payton's birthday party! About 50 people showed up. I didn't get many pictures, as I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off, but my Mom has promised she'll put hers on a CD for me. Here are the few good ones that I got.

The princess cake...

Mimi and cousin Kennedy...

Renae holding Haley, who was an ANGEL all day. She was perfectly happy being passed around, and when she wasn't being held she was sleeping. The one time she got fussy, supermom Renae calmed her down!

Payton's 3rd Birthday

Payton woke up to find some birthday balloons and a present waiting for her. She got a Little Mermaid t-shirt, which she wore to school!

We made blueberry pancakes, Payton's favorite!

We put three candles in the pancake, of course..

And Payton had to blow them out about three times, for good measure!

After school, we picked up dinner at Boston Market and took it to Clement Park, where we had a picnic. Payton loves picnics! Then she got to open two more presents! I'd say her favorite gift was a jump rope. She can't jump it yet, but I wish I had a picture of her running down the hill with the jump rope trailing behind her! And when we try to show her how to use it she says "No Mommy! Not like that! Like this!" Then she proceeds to hop about like a monkey while swinging the jump rope wildly all over the place. Goofy girl.

Payton vs. Haley at 2 months...

I THOUGHT Haley and Payton looked a lot alike. Then I decided to look at some pictures at comparable ages, and now I'm thinking... maybe not so much! Here's Haley at 2 months...

and Payton at a little over two months...
