I group colors and numbers together, because that's how Payton seems to like them. This is how she counts right now:
One... two... three... yellow... six!
She's got 1,2,3 down pretty well, because usually something fun happens after "3" -- i.e. jumping, or being swung, etc.
As for colors, I think she knows them, but when you ask her what color something is, she usually answers "Pink!" We were reading "Go Dog! Go!" the other night, and when I would ask her to point to the blue dog or the green dog, she would do so.
When she wants to play with play-doh, she usually says "Play-doh? Pink and yellow?" For coloring it's "Color? Pink and yellow?"
Hmmmm... I wonder what her favorite colors are?

Don't want it!
When Payton doesn't want something on her plate, she hands me the offending item and says "Don't want it!" I try to talk her into putting the item aside on her plate or her highchair tray, but usually she won't relent, and wants it removed from the area entirely, saying all the while "Don't want it! Don't want it!"
I wouldn't really call Payton a picky eater. She'll try almost anything, often more than once. We had salad the other night, and there were some radish slices in it. She picked one up, put it in her mouth, chewed, spit it out, and handed it to me. "Don't want it!" A minute later she picked up another piece and repeated the process.
Of course, sometimes when I can convince her to leave the item on her plate, she will eventually pick it up and eat it!
She loves her veggies. She will eat all of her broccoli, and ask for more. Beans are another favorite. She's not a fan of tomatoes. She loved the clementine oranges when they were in season, but doesn't like the regular ones as much. If you give her an apple slice, she'll nibble off the peel and hand you the rest. She loves blueberries, bananas, cantaloupe, and grapes. Strawberries she can take or leave.

Moving on up...
Payton started in the two-year-old room this week! It's a few weeks early. They were moving some other kids up, and there would have been a big age gap between her and the next oldest kid in the 1's. She's been loving it so far. She's even been napping well! That's unusual, so they must really be wearing her out. She's a little weird about drop-off, but she seems to really be enjoying herself.
